Rusangu University International Journal for Interdisciplinary Research (RUIJIR) invites originally authored academic papers, essays, and/or creative works that cut cross interdisciplinary lines and examine subjects from multiple angles for its first issue.

RUIJIR publishes academic works in the listed disciplines of social sciences, natural sciences, business, environmental studies, climate and agriculture, computer science, information technology, religious studies, theology, health sciences, and education. The journal places an emphasis on integrating theoretical frameworks, methodologies, and techniques from various fields to elucidate complex phenomena or address real-world challenges, promoting research discourse in form of articles, reviews, perspectives, and other scholarly contributions that exhibit an interdisciplinary focus or the integration of multiple disciplines.

The university is particularly encouraging work that integrates theories, methods, or findings from multiple disciplines to offer fresh insights into complex global challenges.

Submission Guidelines:

Manuscript Types: The following submissions are accepted:

  1. Original Research Articles: Empirical or theoretical research contributing new knowledge to the field.
  2. Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of current trends, methodologies, or key literature in interdisciplinary research.
  3. Essays and Reflections: Thought-provoking pieces offering critical commentary on contemporary issues or emerging fields of study.
  4. Creative Works: Art, design, and other interdisciplinary forms of creative expression that engage with academic inquiry.

Manuscript Formatting:

  1. Submissions should be in Word.
  2. Follow the journal’s citation style, which is the APA 7th edition.
  3. The manuscript should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins, in 12-point Times New Roman font.
  4. Include an abstract (150-250 words) and keywords (3-5).
  5. The full paper should be between 5000 and 7000 words.
  6. Ensure proper citations for all references used in the manuscript.

Ethical Standards:

  1. Authors must ensure their research adheres to ethical guidelines, including obtaining informed consent for research involving human participants and approval from institutional review boards (IRBs) for studies involving human or animal subjects.
  2. All submissions will undergo plagiarism checks.

Peer Review Process:

  1. All submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  2. Authors will receive feedback and are expected to revise their manuscripts as needed to address reviewer comments.
